Affiliate marketing involves an affiliate, who is an individual, usually a blogger, driving traffic to a company's website. They do this with the help of special links. Once a purchase is made on the site, the company pays a referral fee to the individual. The most popular place is the blog, the easiest place to make a profit, so many people run several at the same time.

There are two forms: those who write openly about the product they want to promote and link to it, and others who organise it into a framework story and include it as a single element.

In this form, it is mandatory to include a link as an affiliate, as failure to do so can have serious legal consequences.
